Successful Projects

Since our inception in 2015, Global Path Research and Analytics has conducted more than 80 high-impact studies and successfully delivered for national and international development organizations and a wide range of funders.

Plan International
Program Final Evaluation

Our team conducted the final evaluation of a $14.5 million USAID/BHA-funded program implemented by Plan International in Northern Ethiopia, supporting over 60,000 IDPs and returnees across Amhara, Afar, and Tigray regions. The evaluation revealed transformative outcomes such as rising health education recall from 1.7% to 64% in Afar, dietary diversity among children increased from 4% to 37%, and access to improved sanitation surged from 0% to 46%. Through rigorous mixed-methods research, including 737 household surveys and 29 focus group discussions, the study provided actionable insights that strengthened child protection, WASH, nutrition, and health systems, demonstrating our capacity to deliver evidence that drives humanitarian impact in complex, conflict-affected settings.

Sign of Hope/BMZ
Baseline

We designed and conducted a baseline assessment of an education program in South Sudan, delivering insights that shaped both strategic direction and operational refinement. Beyond identifying gaps in access, learning outcomes, and gender equity, the study provided a nuanced understanding of contextual challenges and opportunities. These findings informed targeted program adjustments, refining beneficiary selection criteria, tailoring teacher training modules, and embedding inclusive learning strategies. The final report served not only as a diagnostic tool but as a strategic roadmap for adaptive implementation, enabling the program to respond dynamically to local realities and drive measurable improvements in educational equity and quality.

Tony Blair Institute for Global Change
Gender gap assessment

Our team conducted a comprehensive gender gap assessment to identify disparities within Ethiopia’s national monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems. Building on these findings, we worked closely with government officials, program managers, and gender experts to integrate gender considerations into the national M&E policies and capacity development frameworks. This collaborative effort resulted in a strengthened policy environment that embeds gender equity into performance tracking, accountability structures, and program design, advancing inclusive governance and evidence-informed decision-making.

UN Women
Research and Case studies

We conducted targeted case studies on paid and unpaid care work in Ethiopia as part of a developmental evaluation led by UN Women. Through field-level data collection and analysis, we developed a compelling case narrative that highlighted the social and economic dimensions of care work. The study contributed to regional advocacy efforts, emphasizing the need for policy recognition and investment in the care economy to promote gender equality and inclusive development.

UNFPA
Program Assessment

Our team designed and delivered an evaluation of the United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency’ (UNFPA’s) Family Planning, Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), and Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) programs using OECD-DAC evaluation criteria. Our team developed a robust evaluation design, led data collection and analysis, and produced a strategic report that assessed program effectiveness, relevance, and sustainability. The findings informed programmatic improvements and guided future investments in rights-based service delivery across UNFPA’s regional portfolio.

Global Affair of Canada
Final evaluation

We conducted a final evaluation of CARE Ethiopia’s FSF+ Gender Transformation Program, which integrated financial inclusion, agricultural innovation, and gender equality across rural communities. Our assessment highlighted transformative impacts, women gained economic independence, leadership roles, and stronger household decision-making power. Through Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) and Social Analysis and Action (SAA) groups, the program fostered resilience, challenged harmful norms, and empowered over 60,000 participants to drive sustainable change in their families and communities.

CARE International
Sustainability Study

Our team conducted a final evaluation on the Graduation with Resilience to Achieve Sustainable Development (GRAD-I) program, a landmark $23.4 million initiative funded by USAID. GRAD-I worked with chronically food-insecure households across 16 districts in Ethiopia in Ethiopia for 200,000 project participants, helping them graduate from the government’s Productive Safety Net Program (PSNP) and transition toward self-reliance. Through market-driven livelihoods, financial inclusion, and gender-responsive programming, GRAD-I empowered families to build resilience, reduce vulnerability, and embrace sustainable development. Our evaluation celebrates the thousands of households that didn’t just exit poverty, they graduated with resilience.

Malala Fund
Research & documentation

Our team designed and conducted a research documenting girls’ lived experiences during COVID-19 school closures, with a primary focus in Ethiopia and complementary insights from India, Nigeria, and other regions. The study captured the educational, emotional, and social impacts of the pandemic on adolescent girls, highlighting barriers to learning, increased caregiving burdens, and risks of dropout. As part of the assignment, our team conducted an in-depth review of national education policies and systems, identifying gaps and opportunities for gender-responsive reform. The resulting evidence and policy recommendations formed the foundation of a global advocacy report, informing international efforts to build more inclusive, resilient, and equitable education systems post-pandemic.

Research Triangle Institute
Gender and Youth Analysis

Our team lead and conducted a Gender and Youth Analysis for RTI International, culminating in a published report that directly informed programmatic design and policy dialogue. This assignment went beyond methodological rigor, combining tailored research tools with deep contextual inquiry to surface structural barriers and untapped opportunities for women and youth across sectors. The findings catalyzed the development of inclusive strategies, refined stakeholder engagement frameworks, and positioned future programming to be more equitable, participatory, and contextually grounded. By translating evidence into actionable guidance, the study advanced RTI’s commitment to gender-responsive and youth-centered development outcomes.

UNITAR
Programs evaluation

We conducted an independent evaluation of United Nations Institute for Training and Research’s (UNITAR) joint master’s degrees, postgraduate and non-degree programmes as well as their joint postgraduate programmes, revealing strong alignment with the 2030 Agenda and UNITAR’s strategic objectives, while also identifying key areas for growth. The programmes have empowered thousands of participants, many advancing into UN roles, policy design, and global leadership, and enabled academic partners to expand their offerings and forge new collaborations. Our findings emphasized the need for institutional accreditation, inclusive financial strategies, improved communication, and inter-divisional synergy to enhance sustainability, access, and impact.
